Website Traffic But No Calls? The Five Breaks in the Chain

Traffic is not the goal — calls are. When visitors arrive and the phone does not ring, the problem is rarely the traffic. It is one of five breaks between the visit and the call.

Check them in this order

1 — The wrong visitors. Rankings for informational searches bring readers, not buyers. Check which queries actually bring your traffic; service-plus-city searches are the ones that ring phones.

2 — The phone number is hard to find. On mobile especially: if the number is not visible in the first screen and tappable, most visitors will not hunt for it.

3 — The page does not answer the fear. A customer with water in their kitchen is not comparing philosophies. Price guidance, response time and what happens next — pages that answer those get calls.

4 — Trust is missing at the decision point. Reviews, real photos and a real service area, placed where the decision happens — not buried in a footer.

5 — The call is not being counted. Without call tracking you cannot tell a quiet phone from a broken measurement. Fix the measurement before fixing the marketing.

The full diagnosis. Mehr Farooq breaks down each of the five — with the checks to run on your own site — in the complete article on mehrfarooq.com.
